Shri DS Rana

Shri D.S. Rana has assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Engineering Projects (India) Limited w.e.f September 19, 2019. Prior to this, he was working as Director (Infrastructure), Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL) since October 27, 2014. Shri Rana is a Civil Engineer with Post Graduate qualification in Project Management and belongs to 1986 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers and has held many positions in the Construction, Procurement & Vigilance wings of Central Railway.

Shri Rana was with DFCCIL right from the inception stage and was one of the first officers to quit the coveted Railway service and join the Company on permanent basis.

While working as CPM/Mumbai in DFCCIL, Shri Rana undertook many policy initiatives in the spheres of RRP & Compensation Matrix for affected PAPs to ensure land acquisition in highly urbanized areas of Mumbai. He is also credited with obtaining a multitude of statutory Environmental Clearances for the project in Maharashtra, which led to timely Financial Closure of Phase-II leg of Western DFC, in partnership with JICA. A Treatise written by Shri Rana on Environmental & Social issues has been widely circulated to various Infrastructure Ministries & PSUs to serve as a hand book for the Project Managers.

Shri Dibendu Das

Shri Dibendu Das has assumed the charge of Director (Finance) of Engineering Projects (India) Ltd w.e.f. July 11, 2023. Prior to this, he was working as General Manager (F&A), Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCIL) since Nov 02, 2017. Shri Das is a B.com Graduate and Fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Associate member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Shri Das is having around 29 years post qualification experience of working in PSU and Private Sectors in Industries like Steel, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Power Sector. He has worked with companies like SAIL, BEML, IL&FS and Hindustan Power Projects

Shri Das has worked extensively in the areas of Costing, Budget, MIS, Accounts, Taxation, Financial due diligence and appraisal of new projects. He has implemented SAP during his tenure in Private Companies. He has the experience of starting Finance & Accounts department from scratch. He was also involved in making policy documents like Accounts Manual, HR Manual, Cost Manual etc. He was actively involved in making systemic improvement in organizations he worked in. He has worked in PPP projects relating to waste management projects like Compost making, Construction & Demolition waste, Waste to energy plants etc. He was conferred with “Next 100 CFO” award in 2012 which was awarded to upcoming CFO’s

Shri Rajesh Kumar

hri Rajesh Kumar has been appointed as Part Time Official Director of EPI as nominee of Govt. of India pursuant to MHI Order dated 01.11.2021. Shri Rajesh Kumar is an ICAS Officer of 1994 Batch with a Master Degree of Philosophy from Delhi University.

Presently he is posted as Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA), Ministry of Heavy Industry, GOI. Shri Rajesh Kumar is also associated with Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance as Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA). Shri Rajesh also held the position of Director (Finance) in MHA..

Ms. Mukta Shekhar

Ms. Mukta Shekhar is an IRAS officer of 1994 batch. She has completed her M.Phil. in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras at the National Defence College, New Delhi and Masters in History from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Her area of expertise is Financial Management and project finance. She has worked at various levels in the Indian Railways, Government of India as Financial Advisor specializing in financial appraisal and project finance. She also worked at the Joint General Manager level in DMRC where she was the associate Finance Officer for projects of Phase II of DMRC.

She has wide experience in the Public Private Partnership area having steered fund management and other contract related activities for pioneer PPP projects of Western Railway, Ministry of Railways, Government of India. Ms. Shekhar has also a varied experience in the International Cooperation arena and worked for 5 years in Ministry of External Affairs wherein she was looking after implementation of projects under India’s Development assistance programme with other countries, Investment and Trade promotion, international arbitration disputes, investment and trade agreements, and civil aviation matters. She also formulated modalities for innovative schemes like concessional financing packages for externally aided projects.

Ms. Shekhar also worked as Joint Secretary in Department of Food, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, wherein she looked after International Cooperation which entailed interface with multi-lateral agencies, the edible oil sector, monitoring of prices of essential commodities and quality control of foodgrains procured under the Central pool stock in conjunction with other stakeholders.

Smt. Akanksha Pare

Smt. Akanksha Pare has been appointed as Part Time Non Official Director on the Board of Company pursuant to MHI Order dated 02.11.2021. Smt. Akanksha Pare is a Post Graduate holding a Master Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) from Uttrakhand Sanskrit University. She is having 15 years of experience in Journalism and Mass Communication and presently associated with ‘Outlook Magazine’ as Assistant Director. Earlier she was associated with Webdunia, Dainik Bhaskar, Malayalam Manorama (Vanita).

Shri Ashok Shankarrao Mendhe

Shri Ashok Shankarrao Mendhe (Nagpur) has been appointed as Non official Independent Director on the Board of Company Pursuant to MHI order Dated 07-03-2023.
